Head of Solutions Architecture at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. Before that: the ABC, Fairfax Media, Macquarie University and The Salvation Army — as an engineer, analyst and architect.
My day job is leading enterprise technology strategy across the Powerhouse's digital and physical estate. Most of my career has been spent in cloud architecture, platform engineering and the integration work in between, across media, education and the cultural sector.
After hours I build myAI — a multi-agent engineering setup that helps maintain my repos, including this site, with me in the reviewer's seat. This site is where I write both kinds of work up.

The chat window stops being enough
AI-assisted coding works, but every session starts from zero and ends in a paste-buffer. The first version of myAI is just discipline: state files, handoff notes, and rules committed to every repo so any session — any machine — can pick up where the last one stopped.

Specialists and routing
One generalist agent becomes thirteen specialists — frontend, API, database, security, QA, architecture — with routing rules and parallel dispatch lanes. Sixty-plus skill playbooks encode the repeatable work. The framework syncs across a fleet of repos, so every project carries the same kit.

The gateway and the task queue
A master gateway goes in above the repos: an MCP server with a task queue, plan dashboard and fleet view. Work stops being 'whatever the current chat is about' and becomes a queue that survives sessions, machines and weeks.

Autonomy — the runner
A scheduled runner starts working the queue in headless sessions overnight: pick a task, work it on a test branch, verify, push, report. Safety rails are non-negotiable — no pushes to main, three-strikes stop with a postmortem, everything behind CI and human review each morning.

The brain — memory with git semantics
The last amnesia problem falls: sessions commit summary atoms to a git-versioned brain, wrap-up merges them, and the next session boots from a few-hundred-token delta. This site is itself built through that pipeline — planned, designed and partly coded by the fleet, reviewed by me.
